Da bomb

This is my one-time-only blog entry from work.

When I got to my bus stop this morning, it was cordoned off with yellow tape. There were a bunch of police cruisers there and sealing off the street for more than a block in each direction.

Bomb squad. “Suspicious package.”

It took me forever to get a bus — a different line — going towards Day Job, but when I got one a recorded message reminded riders to report suspicious packages . . . .

Funny, apart from the delay and stifling humidity, I didn’t think much of the episode. And that, curiously, for good or ill, is why I’m writing.
