Every day is like All Souls

Today is All Souls Day, but let me let you in on a secret: I’m especially happy today because Hubby and I are going to see Morrissey in concert tonight.

I know there are other Morrissey and The Smiths fans out there: what are your favorite songs? Comment away. I’ll chime in if others do.

  1. The Queen Is Dead really affected me as a young man. Gosh, that was a long time ago. I seemed to like Morrissey’s Ringleader of the Tormentors more than most last year. My favorite from that album: “You Have Killed Me.”

  2. Ha, ha bring the tissues for all the sobbing that will be going on around you. If I was a fan Girlfriend in a Coma would be my favorite. Have a good time.

  3. Hank, it’s serious. (A Smiths in-joke.) “Girlfriend in a Coma” is one of my faves. Also, “Suedehead,” “Every Day Is like Sunday” and “There Is a Light that Never Goes Out.” Among the less common, “William, It Was Really Nothing” “A Rush and a Push and the Land Will Be Ours” and “The Night Has Opened My Eyes”.

  4. I have to confess that I am the son, and the heir, of a shyness that is criminally vulgar; would anyone like to have some greased tea with me?

    God I’m ancient…
