This morning a good friend read aloud the lead story on the General Assembly in the Charlotte Observer. Some parts are not news to many of us — a review of the history say — but we agreed it was balanced and accurate, and a pleasing break in the proceedings.
My overall impression of this GA, likewise, remains warm — in large measure to the clever and giving ministers I’ve met, new introductions and old friends alike
I think that may be the best article (i.e. fair and accurate) on UUism I have ever read in a mainstream newspaper.
Check out the “Editors Note” today at the end of the electronic version of the article:
“Editor’s note: Comments have been disabled because of repeated violations of site policies. Please refrain from profanity, obscenity, spam, name-calling or attacking others for their views.”
A grim thought that, but that happens too often on newspaper sites to be truly shocked.
