A fun day out, for me. My Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association chapter meeing where UUA president Bill Sinkford was the guest speaker, a fiery squid-packed Korean lunch, a haircut, and the purchase of two boxes of tea. Lotsa fun.
But less fun for the UUA. Came home, crunched numbers, and with 662 congregations reporting, with a combined membership of 110,780, the net gain of members is a gob-smacking 677. I could tell that some people were waiting to share their own bad membership number news until last couple of days. Since congregation certification ends Sunday, I can’t wait (said ironically) to see what the rest of the week brings.
