Michel Legrand makes me happy

When I feel down, I watch The Young Girls of Rochefort, a lovely Jacques Demy vehicle for Catherine Deneuve, Gene Kelly, George Chakiris and others. With Michel Legrand behind the music, what can go wrong?

Taste a bit at YouTube. And a bit more (but Kelly was dubbed.) And this, but subtitles would help. If you can read French, the town of Rochefort has the script to download. Bless them!

Yesterday, Apartment Therapy reviewed the colors of the equally lush (and equally good, but bittersweet) Umbrellas of Cherbourg — also from Demy with Legrand — for our emulation.

What does this have to do with Universalism or church administration? Not a thing, but we deserve to be happy.
