I learned HTML informally while in seminary, around 1996. I wrote several faith-related pages and hosted them on my school-related server account. I bet I still have some of the files on a floppy disk, but I’m happy to let them rest there; after all, “1996 style” is a by-word for ugly. And the Internet Archive doesn’t have copies of those earliest pages.
The first was called “The Evangelical Universalist” — named for a nineteenth-century newspaper but preceeding the book of the same name. Not much to look at, but the version that I transferred to Geocities (remember Geocities?) can take you back.
