“New” Universalist documents at RevScottWells.com

That is, newly transcribed. I’ve decided to take that blog — which I had intended for longer format work — in the direction of Universalist text transcription (1) to expose them to a new readership and (2) to prompt me to write more theologically.

There’s an interesting outside report of the 1899 Universalist convention, describing the new spirit of united action in the ministerial college, increasing cooperation with Unitarians and the development of a new theological standard, the “Five Principles” declaration.

  1. Thank you as always for your efforts, Scott. A little note about a typo, posted here since there are no comments at the other site: you’ve accidentally described the convention as taking place in 1988, rather than 1899.
