Shopping for vestments: Wippell’s catalog online

Of all the vestment makers out there, I think Wippell’s is my favorite. (Not that I have any of their gear, but the Boy can dream.) They’ve had a website for ages: a backwards, nearly useless website. At last they’ve gotten parts of their catalog scanned and up as PDF files. (But as always, no prices.) That’s a start, and a guide to good taste for clergy. Download away.

  1. Wippell’s is excellent and has done a great deal of work for my church but you should look at Patrick Boylan’s wonderful designs at Grace Vestments in New York (www.gracevestments.com) and that of Holly Starling of TwoDog Vestments in Atlanta (www.twodog.com). Both web-sites have teriffic pictures of their work.
