The right word

ChaliceChick highlights an online chat featuring Washington Post Executive Editor Len Downie, Jr. in part because if the Executive Editor is God, my own dear Hubby would be a cherub. At least I think he looks cherubic.

That, and defending using the right words. I’ve noticed a rising laxity among educated people in clear and accurate language. A shame, that, and I imagine that the weeks towards Election Day will give us a few tortured English words bound to be classics of half-truth. Mark my words.
