November 20, 2011 is the twenty-second Sunday after Pentecost. The last week of Pentecost this year — there are three more possible Sundays after Pentecost, and I’ll get those propers up some time. Thanksgiving, too.
Free Church Book of Common Prayer (1929)
Lord, we beseech thee to keep thy household the Church in continual godliness; that through thy protection it may be free from all adversities, and devoutly given to serve thee in good works, to the glory of thy Name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Epistle: Phil i, 3-11.
Gospel: Matt. xviii, 21-35 (end).
A book of prayer for the church and the home (Universalist, 1866)
Give us grace, O Lord, to endeavor to do thy will with the same diligence and industry, the same zeal and cheerfulness, as thy blessed angels do it in heaven; that, imitating their exemplary obedience and unspotted purity while we are in this life, we may be permitted to be fellow-workers with them in thine everlasting kingdom. Amen.
Gospel, St. Matt. xviii. 21.
Epistle, Phil. i. 3.
