When commenting, use a real email address

I am not a big fan of anonymous blogging and even less a fan of anonymous commenting. Masks make bad neighbors. There’s a reason why they’re illegal to wear in Georgia.

If you comment here, use — at the very least — a real email address. Nobody but me will see it and sometimes I’ve had to ask a commenter a question or explain why I’m disallowing one. (Usually because it serves a proxy for a blogger’s own less-well-read blog, or because it could be seen as defamatory.)

There’s another reason: my spam sifter might think it’s spam and I’ll never see it. And nobody else will either.
