Who I’m reading; two blog updates

My favorite “Who woulda thunk Scott Wells read that?” blog is The Wild Hunt, which is the first public Pagan effort I enjoy reading.

My problem with (neo-)Paganism has been that it has too often been humorless, ahistorical, lacking in aesthetic merit, drippingly Romantic and impaired by borderline personalities and distorted personal boundaries. I get enough of that kitch in Christianity. But perhaps there’s a new face and a new generation rising with a better sense of the marginal, shadowy, substantive and genuine. Good, and again, there’s not enough of that in contemporary Christianity, so more for everyone, I say.
Author Jason Pitzl-Waters has a lot to say. Plus I get all my The Wicker Man news from him.

Ad Free Blog imageHe also has a nifty “Ad Free Blog” tag on his blog and I’ve added one to mine. I think handing over precious blog real estate to an advertizer is madness, particularly if you can’t vet the message.

Lastly, I’ll be weeding out my overgrown categories list, so I’ve taken it down until I’m done.
